MALAYSIA
Melaka
Even though Melaka has rich history, today it is mostly a modern city.
Stadthuys (former townhouse) and the Christ Church were built during the Dutch administration of the city.
In Melaka, similarly as in all of Malaysia, people of many different nationalities and believes live happily together. There are several Chinese temples in the city.
Even architecture is mixed. This mosque has a minaret resembling rather Chinese pagoda than a traditional Islamic tower.
This entry gate is the only part of the Portuguese fort A'Famosa that survived till today .
Former seat of the Melaka sultan was rebuilt according to old drawings and turned into a museum.
