Due to spread of SARS in China (in May 2003) we changed our plans and decided to travel across India, instead of Russia.

Highlights: Southern India; Thailand; trip to rural Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam; Beijing; expedition from Yunan province in China to Tibet, trekking in Tibet and trip across the Himalayas to Nepal; northern India; East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania), Mt. Kilimanjaro; Indonesia; Australia; New Zealand; Central America (learning Spanish in Guatemala); trip from Chile to Argentina (Iguaçu Falls) and through the Andes (Bolivia, Peru); trekking in Peru; trip to the Amazon basin
