 Wenatchee Lake (Washington)

Tomas is gathering dead wood for our campfire.

Setting out for a hike.

Yummy blueberries!

After three miles of a steep ascent, we were rewarded with these nice views of the Cascades.

Whistler, Canada

This was one of our most picturesque stops on our way to Whistler. Highway 99, also called the "Sea to Sky Highway", is very scenic.

Mountain Village at Whistler

Tomas very much enjoyed the gondola ride to the top of the Whistler mountain.

Views from the top are magnificent. The interesting rock on the left is "Black Tusk", one of the peaks located in the Garibaldi Provincial Park. The park offers great wilderness hiking.

Tomas is quite a hiker.

Tomas and Marek had fun playing in the last remains of snow.

Enjoying ice cream after a day of hiking on the Whistler Mountain.

Sunset views from our campground.

Alice Lake (Squamish, Canada)

Hiking on a trail around Alice Lake.

 Camping at Alice Lake

Tomas learned how to set up and take down a tent.

Tomas is helping Marek roll up our tent.

Stawamus Chief

Stawamus Chief is a huge rock formation that is towering above the town of Squamish. We climbed to its top for magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and bays.

Tomas slept through most of the strenuous climb, but did not miss the finish.

Enjoying the views

Going down. Yes, there were chains.

Sunshine Coast

On our way back to the US, we stopped on the lovely Sunshine Coast for couple days. Unfortunately, there was no sunshine this time.....

Tomas figured out how to eat the bread and leave the crust.

At high tide, the sea waters and river streams meet in this very narrow part of the Strait of Georgia inlet to create spectacular whirlpools.

Nice views from the Langdale - Horseshoe Bay ferry
