Rocky Mountains

A business trip took me to Boulder, Colorado for Thursday and Friday. I could not resist staying over the weekend and visiting the Rocky Mountains National Park. I decided to hike Longs Peak on Saturday. Since the weather in Colorado can get unstable in the afternoon, it is required that one gets up around 4 am and starts hiking in the dark. I made it, but the fact that I allowed no time for acclimatization took its toll - I had headache and fever until Sunday. On the way back to Denver airport I got stuck in a traffic jam on I70 and almost did not make. I got on the board of the aircraft just before closing the door - only thanks to the fact that the flight was 40 minutes delayed.
