SKIING TRIPS - 2006
2006 brought three skiing opportunities (Snowmass - 3 days, Flachau - 4 days and Canada - 3 days). Unfortunately, Jitka did not ski at all, but marek experienced the latest skiing ever - on April 2.
Snowmass,
Colorado (February 19 - February 23, 2006)
As a participant of a radiology CME course at Snowmass, I had the first skiing
opportunity of the season.
Flachau,
Austria (March 7 - March 12, 2006)
We went to Flachau, one of the best Austrian skiing places, with Marek's parents
and his brother Milan. We planned the trip so that Jitka could ski some, but she
hurt her back right before the trip and ended up not skiing. At least Marek and
Milan had great four days of skiing. (Well, it rained for 2 days, but the other
two were excellent.)

Even Tomáš was up on the mountain.
Canada
(March 30 - April 3, 2006)
The last skiing trip of the season was to southern Canadian Rockies with
Vincent. We skied 2 days in Fernie, a small resort with growing popularity and
famous powder skiing (not much powder in April, though) and one day at Panorama,
a nice place with amazing mountains around it.
Fernie (March 31 - April 1, 2006)
Panorama
mountain, Canada (April 2, 2006)
This was our last skiing day. April 2, 2006. The mountain is set away from the
main valley, deep in the mountains. It has some excellent runs and amazing
views.
